BEING THE GUY WHO SAYS 'NA IWAKE'

Confession…

Wes’… I feel like you brought me to the light. If it wasn’t your status, I wouldn’t even know these guys early enough to keep enjoying their music.

Ok… so, the song. Can we first light it up? If you know, you know. I feel like song is personalized. And in some sense, it actually is because it’s a story. I’m personalizing it to me as the subject.  To best enjoy it, I think you should too.

Getting to it

So here I am, as I said in the review, there’s nothing I can’t do. The chorus is so clear you just have to go through the lyrics. So light it up, and if you don’t know what I mean, just tag along, you’ll get it. The beats are killing it at this point. And the first subject; Nellythegoon tells the story as somebody who feels no pressure as long as certain things are clear to him.

He flaunts his game by telling people not to wonder why the wrong things happen to them yet they make the wrong moves in the first place.

After the chorus

Benzema also has a story to tell. Haha… some of us are too quiet and sometimes, we need to prove a point. I’m the good guy. But they don’t know I do things low key. You need to be willing to try things with me. Let’s light it up guys….

Nimewaka!

Hey, there’s absolutely nothing I can’t do. Like, I can’t stress how much I like this song (Na Iwake) . And just like the things I can, this jam makes me want to create my bucket list. I am seriously lighting up in every way I know how. 

I’m dancing, I can’t stop singing along. I’m enjoying the video… can definitely steal a move or two for the club. And the beat… Oh my… somebody get me something cold, I’m moto '-d' up with excitement.

Honestly, these young talents are killing it. The video… Freaking awesome, the lyrics… so inviting. The storyline… let me not say this but how else can you understand and relate with what happens in the field?

This is a time when you realize; you can't be afraid. You can't be afraid of the things you know you can do. Deep down, when you look into yourself, there's something that needs to be done. I mean, you know you can do it. why not show that you can. And that you love it. And for all we should know, is that it is you. It is what you do.

Is this what the youth is about?

Umm… Well, what I really know is, the youth are about getting it done. I kinda feel like that’s our motto. We get to do things that we want for ourselves. And this song Na Iwake; not only communicates what happens on the ground, but also represents motivators.

Just like every youth that’s following their dream? So are these artists. And that, that is sexy.

The minute I fully listened to this song and understood what exactly it’s about, I knew one thing for sure… knowing what is krimino and avoiding it was something I am going to do in 2019.

Honestly though, How can you be a ‘Figure’ and do criminal things? How? Hiyo ni krimino. Haha!! What is krimino? There are a number of criminal things that are not necessarily written down making them krimino. Listen along; also, the lyrics are so clear.

At this point, itabidi umebebwa. Haha! I’m sorry I got overwhelmed. Anyway, you notice the parts he says (aii) after particular lines, that’s the most ‘criminous’ I doubt there’s such a word but I’m just trying to drive the point of how much more of a crime it is.
